UPU Industries Inc Becomes Fully Operational

UPU Industries Ltd manufacturers of the premiere Farmer’s brand of bale protection products will begin production at their new plant in Kansas in June 2004.
The new $14 million plant which is situated in Junction City, Kansas will create 75 jobs and will see the company producing Netwrap Products for American farmers.

The Northern Ireland firm have been delivering excellence in terms of product and service since 1977 and now wishes to extend this into the American market. The company realise that the United States market is demanding and therefore have pledged to maintain their commitment to quality and innovation in the new 100 000 square foot plant.

Managing Director Mr Phillip Orr, said, “ This year has seen unprecedented demand for UPU Industries Ltd products in USA market. In order to expand and develop the business in America the company realised it was vital to establish a manufacturing presence. The commitment will enhance service to existing and prospective customers.”

‘Farmer’s’ quality products manufactured at the new plant are Netwrap and pallet netting and have been designed to work in every baler and wrapper. The state of the art manufacturing plant will be operational in June 2004.
