UPU Industries Ltd implement an EMS and gain their ISO 14001:2004 registration

UPU Industries Ltd are proud to announce their ISO14001:2004 certification awarded for the implementation of an Environmental Management System (EMS). The decision to implement the EMS was taken 12 months ago and a plan actioned in order that it could be realised. The company have seen cost savings with regard to waste and energy as well as ensuring legal compliance.
The reputation that UPU Industries Ltd has, is built on the manufacture of quality products and now to further enhance this the ISO 14001:2004 certificate proves that there is also a concern and an effort to reduce the impact of its manufacturing activity on the environment.
The implementation of the EMS ensures the competitiveness of UPU Industries Ltd and has allowed the current quality and health and safety systems to be developed using the same strategy.
We are currently working towards an integrated Environmental, Quality, Health and Safety management system for further certifications of ISO9001:2000 and OHSA 1800.
