Enterprise 2000

The purpose of the Financial Mail’s Enterprise 2000 Awards was to find the most innovative, energetic, enterprising and successful company in the United Kingdom.

Major world industrial players including Microsoft and banking institutions including Lloyds/TSB supported this endeavor. It was with much delight that from initially over 2000 entries FARMERS received the overall winner’s prize as the most innovative, energetic, enterprising and successful company in the United Kingdom! The significance of this award was backed up with prizes totaling £60,000.
The team of judges examined every aspect of each organization including operations, marketing strategy, strategic vision, training and finance. As Ben Laurance, Editor of Financial Mail, said: “Given the challenges facing growing business, we should pay tribute to all those who survive. It is vital that we do everything we can to provide a clearing house through which business can find out best practice and so help them prosper.”
